Steve Ray Associates was the FIRST Republican Political Consultant to win a South Texas Congressional Election when the group led the charge for Corpus Christi's Blake Farenthold as he narrowly upset a 27-year Democrat incumbent, winning by about 800 votes. It was called the biggest upset of the nation.
In 2020, the group won Capitol Inside's Best Challenger campaign, defeating an incumbent Texas Railroad Commission and winning a surprise victory for Texas energy business owner and former bull rider Jim Wright. In the general election Wright continued to beat the odds winning the general election battle despite millions of dollars poured into the race by liberal interests to try and defeat him.
Most recently, Steve Ray Associates helped turn the 13th Court of Appeals from solidly blue to completely red. The group recruited four qualified jurists who understood the importance of the "rule of law" and Chief Justice Jaime Tijerina as well as Justices Ysmael Fonseca, Jenny Cron and Jon West now have turned a once liberal court into a solidly conservative six-member Republican court.
